Skill Description

This skill enhances your ability in supporting barriers.

Note: there is little point in including research with regards to max barrier resistance increases if it does not test at max barriers. Collate, discuss and confirm your information and research in Hall of Sages before posting your results here.

Effects

  • Level 1-5 : +0.5 to current barrier resistance
  • Level 6-10 : +1.0 to current barrier resistance
  • Level 11-15 : +1.5 to current barrier resistance
  • Level 16-20 : +2.0 to current barrier resistance

NOTE:

  • Angular brackets <> indicate unconfirmed numbers (best guess based on number patterns).
  • The data for L09 was confirmed by ericvas with 77% resistance @ 2.36% bars on Solo Jan 2009
  • The data for L20 may be incorrect. If it were correct then then barrier resistance adds a lot more than the 2.0 that it sows below. 2.5% = 75 is normal, meaning 1% = 30 resistance, so 1.58% should equal 47.4. 75 - 47.4 = 27.6 resistance. So according to what they wrote, at lvl 20 resistance they are getting 27.6 barrier resistance free. At high lands that saves a lot of mana upkeep saved per turn (= a lot of extra units for blue or black).

History

  • This skill originally was a Image:icon_ASCENDANT.gif skill, but it is replaced now (by Legendary Artificer)
    • You could have higher maximum resistance from building barriers (more then regular 75 maximum).
    • You would have needed to build more than 2.5% barriers to gain this benefit, hence it was changed in January 2007.
  • This skill has been made a Image:icon_PLAIN.gif skill (January 2007), allegedly it 'now gives free barrier resistance'.
