The Shaman is a mage who has long found that the serenity of the forest is superior to the chaos of 'civilization'. As such, she understands plant life. Some have spent so much time with treefolk that they developed plantlike features and can command them to do their bidding. The most ancient Shamans can drain magic power from Nature.

Plant Control

Increases Primary and Counter AP of all your Treefolk Units by 5%/lvl. This bonus adds linearly to the effects of Plant Growth. E.G. If plantgrowth adds +200% AP to your Treefolk, level 1 Plant Control will add +205% in total.

Channeling

  • Increases MP income by 2% + 1%/lvl.

The main reason non-greens buy the hero, increase in mana upkeep is highly valuable, but take into account the Shaman requires mana upkeep by itself. A level 17 Shaman would increase mana income by 4% but require 220 mana, in order to make a profit, you would need a base mana income of at least 4.5k/turn. Take into account the gold upkeep as well.

Wall of Thorn

Reduces initiative of one random enemy stack by 1. Deals 4k + 2k/lvl POISON damage to the affected stack. Is a Verdant spell thus can be resisted, however verdant spell resistance is fairly rare. Seems to be weighted to target larger stacks in preference to smaller ones.

Summary

Generally bought either to increase efficiency of trees or increase MP income. Commands a high price on the market.
