There is no upkeep or hidden upkeep.

==Usage==
White mages will benefit greatly from the boost to their [[Archangel]]s and [[Dominion]]s. Some even say that Wings of Glory makes basic [[Angels]] viable.

Green and Blue mages sometimes run mono-[[Archangel|AA]] when whoring. Nearly all blue mages use AA, typically topstacked.

A Black mage with Corruption and Wings of Glory would be formidable.

Wand of the Moon

Inflicts (randomly) large amount of LIGHTNING, COLD, FIRE or PSYCHIC damage in battle.

Sightings:

-Kills off units in 1 stack.

-The damage type is unknown

**updated as of June 2008. Charges in 30 turns regardless of what is done. Simply doesn't do that much damage. NOWHERE near what is listed above. I've seen 2 Red Dragons killed. 135 Archangels. 765 Griffons.

XXX (#XXX) used Wand of the Moon
YYY (#YYY)'s 600 Efreeti are slain.

I would guess it does around 4 million damage. But it still is subject to target resistances.

**My personal view as someone who currently has the Wand of the Moon and Staff of the Archmage: they aren't worth it by a long shot. The Wand of the Moon takes 30 turns to charge. That means you can use it maybe 1-3 times every run you make and it will be stopped 75% of the time by barriers. The Staff of the Archmage charges in 8 turns, so it's a little better, but it does less damage than Wand, I'd guess half damage. For what you pay for them, you could buy a whole game supply full of Javelin of Lightnings or Powder Kegs or 50 Ashes of Invisibility. All of which can be used on offense AND defense. You can't really assign these on defense because if you are attacked more than once, it won't have a chance to recharge and you won't be using an item. So personally, I am very disappointed in these two combat artifacts. That said, the Staff sells for 265,000,000 geld and the Wand for about 530,000,000. The price has stayed the same since I've gotten them. One way of looking at them is a place to put your money, I guess. You can always sell them (if they aren't stolen). But I'd say a high level hero or a whole lot of powerful regular items is a much better investment. I know I personally won't be buying them again.

**The reason Wand is especially disappointing is the long time lapse between it and it's very high single target damage. On a few occassions I have gotten unlucky and targetted sheep or other fodder. So it of course completely wipes them out, but probably did less than 1% net damage. An item like Figurine of the Ice Queen at least is spreading its damage out. And to try and use it, have it blocked by barriers and have 30 TURNS to wait to use it again, just makes you wonder why you bought it.

Thor Hammer

The Mirror of the Grey Witch

Must be charged before each use. Charging does not remove mana from the user.

Just to confirm, it charges in 8 turns, regardless of what you're doing during those turns. It seems to do about 1 million to 2 million dmg to one stack. Hard to tell because of resistances and not being sure what attack type is being used.

So as far as strategy, not really viable on defense assignment as you'll only get one use. On offense, you'll need to attack, do something for 8 turns (build, mana charge, etc) and then you can use it again. Not sure if it scales with spell level, etc.

In the grand scheme, Figurine of the Ice Queen, Javellin of Lightning, etc., can potentially do nearly as much dmg if they are used against 10 stack armies. But the potential for overkill also exists (stackwiping a minor stack and thus not doing full dmg).

*My personal view as someone who currently has the Wand of the Moon and Staff of the Archmage: they aren't worth it by a long shot. The Wand of the Moon takes 30 turns to charge. That means you can use it maybe 1-3 times every run you make and it will be stopped 75% of the time by barriers. The Staff of the Archmage charges in 8 turns, so it's a little better, but it does less damage than Wand, I'd guess half damage. For what you pay for them, you could buy a whole game supply full of Javelin of Lightnings or Powder Kegs or 50 Ashes of Invisibility. All of which can be used on offense AND defense. You can't really assign these on defense because if you are attacked more than once, it won't have a chance to recharge and you won't be using an item. So personally, I am very disappointed in these two combat artifacts. That said, the Staff sells for 265,000,000 geld and the Wand for about 530,000,000. The price has stayed the same since I've gotten them. One way of looking at them is a place to put your money, I guess. You can always sell them (if they aren't stolen). But I'd say a high level hero or a whole lot of powerful regular items is a much better investment. I know I personally won't be buying them again.

Extra attacks appear to be unaffected (this makes sense because almost nothing directly modifies extra attack power).

There is no effect on your own units.

Obviously, [[Pan's Flute]] will make you take less damage on defense, and thus every mage will benefit from it.

On offense, if you sometimes lose battles because you are out-damaged, this will help. Less obviously, if you have slow units, this will ensure that a few more of them survive to make their attacks. And, since you'll be losing less units per attack, you'll be able to make more attacks per run.

Because the reduction is a percent of base damage, this has less impact against units such as [[Treant]]s that are normally massively boosted by other effects. Conversely, it is very powerful when combined with AP reducing effects like [[Bard]] [[Song]]. Here is an example of two attacks made against the same mage, one a minute before obtaining [[Pan's Flute]], and one a minute after. Note that in the second attack it exactly negates [[God Favor|Lucifer]]'s favor, so all units except [[Treant]], [[Mandrake]], and [[Griffon]] have their normal [[AP]] and [[Counter]].

This is the darkest spell of the black. Though this spell is forbidden, a mage rediscovered it and recorded it on this parchment. This spell will summon Unholy Angels, Unholy Archangels, or Unholy Dominions. These unholy creatures are more powerful than their ascendant cousins, and demand a higher price for their services.

Used by Ascendant December 02, 2010 with Legendary Artificer 12. Lost all mana, didn't learn Corruption. The scroll only had a market value of 10,000,000 (Ash of Invis had a value of 15,000,000). The scroll was found via a Treasure Chest.
