The Lucky Cauldron is the replacement for the Black Market on the beta server. It provides you with the opportunity to spend gold in exchange for a chance to win lesser items, unique items, heroes and spells.

  • Lucky Cauldron is available under the Soothsayer menu on the main screen.
  • The Antique Store, Spawning Hatchery, Tavern O' Heroes, Swords for Hire and Exotic Mageware stores are not available.
    • The Altar of Darkness can still be accessed directly via a link under Soothsayer on your main menu.
  • Buying a pack from the Lucky Cauldron takes one turn.
  • Packs are opened automatically the moment they are purchased.
  • As there is no Black market, items are instead sold directly to the server.
    • Lesser items sell for a set 500,000 gold.
    • Unique items sell for a set 10,000,000 gold.
    • There is no delay in receiving gold for selling items, you receive it immediately.
    • Selling items takes one turn.
  • Each pack purchased can only give you one of its effects - for example, you will never get a pack of items and a hero at the same time, you have a chance to get one or the other.
  • You may trigger an "Elusive Magic" effect when purchasing items.
    • This is triggered when Cauldron was going to grant you a Complex spell you already knew.
    • Instead of giving you a spell you already know, you are instead granted 40 items.
