Spell resistance is units' ability to resist offensive spells such as stun/slow etc. pheonix having 80% eradication resist, will resist 4 out of 5 stuns on average. the skill Spell Penetration lowers units resistance. though some units have complete immunity to some spells like Faerie Dragon or Demon Knight
