If you cast flight, will this spell skip those units with flight, or will the spell be wasted if it randomly selects a stack that can already fly?

It randomly selects a stack so it can hit something that already flies. It is usually geared more towards stacks with a higher percentage in your army afaik. You can ask in "Hall of Sages - Newbie Style" for confirmation/clarification. :)
