Hit points
Health Points (also commonly referred to as "Life", "HP", and "Health"), determine how much damage a unit can suffer in battle before being killed.
Partially damaged units are tracked during battle (for example: if a unit with 100 life, takes 50 damage, it will be considered at 50 life until it is killed or the battle ends).
Partially damaged units are restored to full health at the end of every battle.
Steal Life/Healing effects - these effects restore units to life, these effects occur only during the battle resolution, and show in distinct fashions seperate from each other:
Steal Life: Displays as a reduction in the number of units killed (400 units may die in combat, but it only says 350 died in the 'battle results' section - this is caused by steal life) or as a "created" statement (if more are generated than those that die).
Healing: Restores units to life at the end of battle - displays as a second line commenting on how many units were resurrected from death. This cannot create additional units.
Health points can be affected by several different Hit Points Modifiers.
Healing and resurrection can be affected by several different Resurrection Modifiers.
