Barrier Proficiency | Grand Enchanter | Legendary Commander | Augment Summoning | Grand Conqueror
- It makes most of the items perform better, war items, offensive items, and self-use items.
The numbers associated with this are:
Skill Level 1-20: 5% increase in item effectiveness (Note: Skill was changed, information inaccurate, except that at skill level 20 items are 100% more effective.) Also, an increased chance for items to penetrate barriers. (exact amount unknown)
Therefore, at Skill level 10, items would be 50% more effective, and at skill level 20, items would be 100% more effective. (Note: This applies to most, but not all, items.)
- Some of the more powerful items (like Ash of Invisibility or Magical Compass) are less or not boosted at all.
- It improves Locate Artifact results (No longer does on solo)
- It is not clear if the skill also impacts unique items.
- It is not clear if the skill improves item generation. (It seems likely, however)
- It has odd effects with some items, like causing Satchel of Mist to increase your accuracy instead of decrease it. forum post
History
- This skill replaced the Barrier Proficiency as the skill in December-January 2006-2007.
- Barrier Proficiency at that time became a skill, and its workings were also changed.
- The replacement probably had something to do with the spell-level effect on barriers being removed between original skill design (late 2004) and reintroduction of skills (halfway 2006).
