This is the most common attack type. It is boosted/modified by a wide variety of spells and items, making it a very versitile attack type. A downside is that MELEE itself is highly resisted by most units.

• the item Brooch of Protection raises resistance against MELEE attacks for all own units.
• the spell Rust Armor lowers resistance against MELEE attacks for all enemy units.
