Unique Item, not to be confused with the unit Iron Golem

You are surprised to find this twelve foot tall Iron Golem tending the garden on a farm. Obviously, his former master's orders were for him to farm the land. You want to use him for other purposes, however, you do not seem to be unable to give him a new order since you do not know the correct word. So, you just bring him home and let him farm your own land, perhaps for ever. You also found some letters carved on its back "You'll hate this one sooner or later, believe me! ", "ARGGHHH!!! MY MANA!!!".

The Iron Golem creates 1-5 acres of new farmland every turn. You can destroy farmland and build other buildings on it. If you don't attack but gain land, you are rather suspicious, so many mages that farm the iron golem also attack a bit, to make their chronicles look less suspicious.

The Golem has a hidden upkeep (mana reduction) that starts at 4k acres.

  • at 4k acres, 10% m.p. reduction
  • at 5k acres, 20% m.p. reduction
  • at 6k acres, 30% m.p. reduction
  • at 7k acres, 40% m.p. reduction
  • at 8k acres, 50% m.p. reduction

Reductions apply to base mana income, opposite to what moon favour does. Black Sabbath can help you to keep the Iron golem longer.
