I killed 6 4068hp efreeti, 25 2486hp chimera, and 66 1130hp hydra.  This comes out to at least 294562.2 LIGHTNING damage.  It seems like the counterattack damage is lowered by 4%.  The efreeti had 768 counterattack damage, and the wyvern had 288 counterattack damage.  Both 768/800 and 288/300 came out to .96.
