This scroll is inscribed with magical runes, writings, and symbols. When a mage recites the scroll, the scroll provides limited protection from fire damage for his army.

Effects
Increases FIRE Resistance of ALL friendly units by 40%
- This resistance modification is made BEFORE resistance averaging
- This resistance modification cannot bring a resistance over 100%. Therefore if a unit already has a very high Fire resistance, this item will not benefit much.
Notes
Tested with 3m power Unicorns + Flame Blade + Ash of Invisibility (to ensure that the Unis hit first and will not have their damage dealt modified by units/efficiency lost) versus 3m power Fire Elementals + Scroll. Fire Elementals have 100% natural FIRE resist and 50% MAGIC resist. Unicorns have a MAGIC Primary Attack which, with use of Flame Blade, becomes MAGIC FIRE. As Magic attack types have a static damage modifier, the amount of damage dealt will ALWAYS be the same. This allowed me to test whether Scroll would increase the total averaged resistance of the Fire Magic attack beyond 75% (100% for fire + 50% for magic divided by 2).
Result:
- Unis without Flame Blade vs. Unmodified Fire Elementals killed 28 Fire Elementals (50% resist).
- Unis with Flame Blade vs. Unmodified Fire Elementals killed 15 Fire Elementals (75% resist).
- Unis with Flame Blade vs. Fire Elementals with Scroll killed 15 Fire Elementals (75% resist).
If Scroll increased resistance above 100%, the Fire Elementals would have had 95% resistance against the final attack (140% + 50% / 2). Given that this was clearly not the case, it was determined that the scroll cannot boost Fire resistance above 100%.
