skills is an in-game feature seriously introduced on beta in March 2006, and planned to be introduced to the main servers from September 2006 onwards.
skills have to do with guilds: Maintaining guilds on your lands gives you credits from time to time, and by investing these into a skill of choice, you can develop the skill. On-color and plain-color skills are cheaper to develop than other-color skills.
There is a maximum credits that can be stored (max 5). There is a maximum efficiency at which you can generate skill credits (more guilds than 10% does not help).
