Barrier Proficiency | Grand Enchanter | Legendary Commander | Augment Summoning | Grand Conqueror
This skill will reduce the magic power needed to cast all spells. The most powerful Spell Masters can reduce the number of turns needed as well.
Effects
- Level 1-5 : Reduces base spell casting cost by 1% for on-colour, 2% for near-colour, 3% for opposites. The effect does NOT accumulate with Magic's Favour. Instead, first Magic's -10/20% gets deducted, then the percentage of the skill.
- Level 6-10 : Seems same as L1-5 (confirmed)
- Level 11-15 : Seems same as L1-5 (unconfirmed)
- Level 16-20 : Seems same as L1-5 (unconfirmed)
** Note the base spell casting cost of spells on near-colours and off-colours. As a reminder:
Spell Type | On-Colour | Near Colour | Opposite Colour | |
Simple | 100% | 125% | 200% | |
Average | 100% | 150% | 350% | |
Complex | 100% | 200% | 600% | |
Ultimate | 100% | N/A | N/A | |
Ancient | 100% | ?% | ?% |
Bonuses
- Level 20 : All spells cost one turn less to cast.

Example
- Example: Casting Shroud Of Darkness (Average,10000MP) by a L20 Spell Master...
It is quite similar to how the hero ability Spell Lore works. If you combine both, the effects stack on top of eachother as a multiplication, not as an addition.
- Example: -10% Spell Mastery effect (skill lvl 10, on color) AND -6% Spell Lore effect (hero lvl 4)
- Combines as (1-6%)*(1-10%)=0.90*0.94=0.846=(1-15.4%)
- e.g. casting Wish (normally 100,000 m.p.) will cost 84,600 m.p. and not 84,000 m.p.
