Additional Comments

Mandrakes are the weaker cousins of Treants.

Using the same methods as used in the treant article, drakes only have an AP/NP ratio of ~34. They also have correspondingly lower HP, and lower resistances.

So why use them at all? Well, sometimes your Treant stack might not pair up against the right stack, and your drakes are a way to ensure that at least some of that PG-buffed goodness gets to hit something squishy. It's basically a way to not put all your eggs in one basket. At the same time you get the downside of a unit that is alot worse than Treants and much prone to Fire attacks and notably, Treants themselves.

The only upsides drakes have are their lower mp upkeep, so you can maintain more of them NP-wise and also their Regeneration...which doesn't really make up for the fact that they're alot more fragile than Treants.
