Sages are those mages who dedicated their lives into researching the magical arts. They spend most of their time studying in the magic guild's library.

Researching

  • Reduces research cost of each spell by 6% + 3%*lvl.

Skill Lore

  • Increases the skill points generated by your own kingdom's guilds by 2% + 1%*lvl

Spell Lore

  • 2% + 1%*lvl spell cost decrease

Stacks with Spell Mastery multiplicatively.

  • -6% Spell Lore effect (hero lvl 4) AND -10% Spell Mastery effect (skill lvl 10),
    • combines as (1-6%)*(1-10%)=0.90*0.94=0.846=(1-15.4%)
      • e.g. casting Wish (normally 100,000 m.p.) will cost 84,600 m.p. and not 84,000 m.p.

Summary

At the start of a set, Sages command a very high price as everyone is attempting to research as fast as possible. After the first few weeks though, low level sages tend to command a low price due to lack of demand(and also appear fairly rarely in the first place). High level sages have an extremely high demand as they are one of two ways to reduce spell casting costs, and Spell Mastery is a blue skill(penalty for other colors learning it).
