Effects
- Decreases base geld income. (also known as hidden upkeep)
- Decreases unit mana upkeep.
- More effective on-color (probably). (edit) On-Color at 410 it reduced mana upkeep to 82.4% of normal and geld base income to 90.5%. Good if you have nodes above 30%. Efficiency seems to decrease as SL increases, although there might be another hidden factor causing this.
Examples
- Current (7 June 2010) data at Guild server -
SL589 = -10% mana upkeep (Djinni upkeep at 2.25) SL609 = -10.4% mana upkeep (Djinni upkeep at 2.24), -10% geld income (177,809 down from 197,566).
- Effective at 589SL on roughly 2.5k acres and more (assuming 44.99% nodes). This is the break even point, where the spell's mana production will outweigh the mana upkeep. At 3k acres you will see roughly 300mp/turn increase and 20k geld/turn decrease. Effectiveness increases with land size. Currently being tested/investigated by Paralytic (Dec/09).
- @SL651 it reduced mp upkeep to 88.8% (11.2% reduction), geld unclear. (Blitz, Aug/14)
: casting at SL 598, reduced base geld income from 1,506,195 to 1,172,925 (22%). There was with a level 15 merchant but no other geld income modifiers. Reduced unit mana upkeep from 16,005 to 15,302 (4.4%). Conclusion: terrible offcolor, except at the very end of Geddon.
: casting at SL 639, reduced geld net income from 832,704 to 507,568 and net mana income from 357 to 266. Conclusion: completely worthless as green.
