A mighty leader, and a mighty warrior, the Warlord is impossible to miss on the battlefield. He will be the one in armor stained with the blood of his enemies, thousands of troops gathered around him awaiting his orders. The Warlord is unmatched by any other normal human in his tactical skill. Legendary Warlords will also attract more recruits to their armies.

Effects

Tactics raises accuracy by 1% per level, starting at level 14.

  • Considering all regular attacks (and defense) starts out at 30% accuracy, a 1% increase is a bonus of 3.33% to your overall attack.
  • Considering a siege attack, base accuracy is 20% (for units without Flying or Siege ability). A 1% accuracy increase then means 5% bonus.
    • At higher Tactics levels, the difference in hero impact to Regular and Siege battles increases more.

Charisma increases recruiting

  • nice extra for during armageddon, but that's it. Barracks are cheaper. Tactics is the Warlord's main ability.

Usage

Warlord is an interesting hero, and one that often commands a very high cost. His Tactics ability is what he is purchased for, but he gets this only at lvl 14, Below that level, the hero has no abilities, just a meager MELEE attack and a tremendous gold cost. Yet, at 12th lvl he would cost 70,000 geld a turn. So unless you got geld to burn, I wouldn't recommend getting him until at least 13th lvl.

Protecting your hero

He is a giant of Icon ERADICATION.gif speciality. The only Eradication Giants are Fire Giants,

Valor vs. Tactics

Data on this page needs confirmation

The hero abilities Valor is often compared to the Warlord's Tactics. Heroes with Valor enabled (LVL 9 and higher) are much easier and cheaper to get than the high level (LVL 14+) Warlord.

At lvl 14, a VALOR (9) hero provides 9% to primary (only) and counter AP (subsequently reduced by accuracy, efficiency and random factors).

In a regular battle, a 100,000 primary attack becomes modified by a lvl 14 Valor hero to
100,000 (=AP) * 1.09 (=ValorBonus) * 0.3 (=acc) * 0.5 (mean of random factor, efficiency) = 16350 primary attack damage; Valor hero does not improve secondary attack.
In a regular battle, a 100,000 primary attack becomes modified by a lvl 14 Tactics Warlord to
100,000 (=AP) * 0.31 (=Acc+Tactics) * 0.5 = 15500 primary attack damage; Tactics hero will further improve secondary attack.
In a siege battle, a 100,000 primary attack becomes modified by a lvl 14 Valor hero to
100,000 (=AP) * 1.09 (=ValorBonus) * 0.2 (=acc) * 0.5 (mean of random factor, efficiency) = 10900 primary attack damage; Valor hero does not improve secondary attack..
In a siege battle, a 100,000 primary attack becomes modified by a lvl 14 Tactics Warlord to
100,000 (=AP) * 0.21 (=Acc+Tactics) * 0.5 = 10500 primary attack damage; Tactics hero will further improve secondary attack.

  • This shows Valor and Tactics at level 14 to be more-or-less comparable.
    • For simpler units with a main primary attack, Valor is better, especially in regular attacks.
    • For complex and ultimate units with powerful secondary attacks, Tactics can already be better.
  • Below level 14, Tactics is disabled, and obviously Valor hero is better.
  • Above level 14, Tactics becomes stronger than Valor also for simpler units and also in regular attacks.
