Section 2 - Turn and Effect

Items
The sequence for item effects are fairly straight forward - Use Item, Turn Taken, Item Effect occurs.

Items
- Select item: "Sage Stone"

- Click: "Use Item"
- Turn Taken: Upkeeps paid, turn by turn effects such as enchantments, heroes, etc. perform their tasks.

- Item Effect: +gold from sage stone.

 
Attacks
The sequence for attacks (pillage, siege, regular) are also fairly straight forward, although not as greatly as items the sequence is: Attack, Attack Result, Turns Taken.

Attacks
- Select Target: "Mage #"

- Click: "Attack"
- Attack Result: Gain Land from Siege/Regular - or item/geld/pop from pillage, also units that die are removed from your stacks, and pay the "war expense"

- Turns Taken: You pay the upkeep for the two turns here (notice - you do not pay the upkeep for the units that died in battle)

 
War Expense (doesn't matter which units you send or don't send, "Unit Upkeep" is the upkeep of ALL units):
Siege: 1*Unit Upkeep Before Attack
Regular: 1*Unit Upkeep Before Attack
Pillage: No "War Expense"
 
Land Taken (Siege/Regular):
Land Taken is influenced by the total number of units you have remaining at the end of battle. Try and have at least 5 units remaining for every acre your opponent has.
Siege Max Land: 3.33% of target's land captured, 6.67% of target's land destroyed. (total: 10%)
Regular Max Land: 1.67% of target's land captured, 3.33% of target's land destroyed. (total: 5%)
 
Resources Taken (Pillage; Siege with on-color Battle Chant enchantment):
Resources taken is influenced by the total net power of the stack you send to pillage your opponent. Greater the power, more resources taken (there is a limit however, that fluctuates based on land layout of the target kingdom - namely: % of towns).
 
Building
There are two types of buildings:
Pre-turn effects & Post-turn effects
 
Pre-turn effect buildings: Town, Farm, Workshop, Nodes, Barriers, Fortress.
Post-turn effect buildings: Barracks, Guilds.
 
Pre-turn effect buildings use the method of "Build, Building Effect/upkeep placed in building upkeep, Turns Taken"

Pre-Turn Building
- Select buildings to construct.

- Build the buildings.
- Effect of building takes place (nodes = +mana income, +max mana for example)

- Turns are taken, effects of building are felt in these turns.

 
Post-turn effect buildings use the method of "Build, Turns Taken, Building Effect/Upkeep placed in building upkeep"

Post-Turn Building
- Select buildings to construct.

- Build the Buildings.
- Turns are taken, you will not see the effects of the buildings (barracks won't increase unit recruit while being constructed for example)

- Buildings are constructed

 
Exploring, Mana Charging, Gelding
All 3 of these use what I call the "tick" system.

The Tick System
- Turns selected for action.

- Action taken.
- Effect of action = Tick1 + Tick2 + Tick3 + ... + TickN

- Turns are taken after all ticks.

 
Exploring
On servers with an Explore limit, the ticks will decline based on current land until you reach 3500 acres, at which point you can't explore further.
There are currently no servers without an explore limit.
Numbers in example are imaginary, and used just to express the idea.

Exploring 1
- Starting Land: 3490 acres

- Average Acres per turn = 5.
- Select Explore for "6" turns.
 
Order of Effects
- Explore Tick 1 = rand(3-7) acres, result = +4 acres (Current Land: 3494 acres)
- Explore Tick 2 = rand(3-7) acres, result = +5 acres (Current Land: 3499 acres)
- Explore Tick 3 = rand(3-7) acres, result = +1 acres excess acres ignored (Current Land: 3500 acres)
- Explore Tick 4 = rand(0) acres, result +0 acres (Current Land: 3500 acres)
- Explore Tick 5 = rand(0) acres, result +0 acres (Current Land: 3500 acres)
- Turn 1 taken, Upkeep occurs
- Turn 2 taken, Upkeep occurs
- Turn 3 taken, Upkeep occurs
- Turn 4 taken, Upkeep occurs
- Turn 5 taken, Upkeep occurs

- Reported Result: You Explored 6 turn(s) and found 10 acres.


Exploring 2
- Starting Land: 400 acres.

- Average Acres per turn = 18.
- Select Explore for "6" turns.
 
Order of Effects
- Explore Tick 1 = rand(14-22) acres, result = +16 acres (Current Land: 416 acres)
- Explore Tick 2 = rand(13-21) acres, result = +18 acres (Current Land: 434 acres)
- Explore Tick 3 = rand(11-19) acres, result = +11 acres (Current Land: 445 acres)
- Explore Tick 4 = rand(10-18) acres, result = +15 acres (Current Land: 460 acres)
- Explore Tick 5 = rand(10-16) acres, result = +14 acres (Current Land: 474 acres)
- Turn 1 taken, Upkeep occurs
- Turn 2 taken, Upkeep occurs
- Turn 3 taken, Upkeep occurs
- Turn 4 taken, Upkeep occurs
- Turn 5 taken, Upkeep occurs

- Reported Result: You Explored 6 turn(s) and found 74 acres.

 
Gelding
There is no geld limit, so there's 1 example for the tick system.

Mana Charging is limited by max mana...and also has 3 samples - they are labeled by their function. Mana cannot exceed storage through charging.
